A hot new event! Rock crawling
A hot new event! Rock crawling 23.04.2012Rock crawling is an event that has just arrived from the USA – where else! – where the sport has been around for over fifteen years and has its own championship.

What you need for the biggest thrills:
• A properly modified 4×4: oversized wheels, reinforced chassis, adjusted axles, etc.
• A master at the wheel, skilled in the art of off-road driving
• Terrain made up of large rocks for tackling steep slopes, with sand and mud to ensure a good skid.
The expert
Stéphane Zosso has been driving off-road for more than 20 years. He lives for adventure, is a skilled mechanic and his passion is for 4x4s (ideally Jeeps), all of which make him the ideal “rock crawler”.
He set up the ZZ Kustom tea (www.zzkustom.com) eight years ago to turn his passion into a career. Today he owns two garages in Gingins and Morges for which he imports 4×4 models (Jeep and Toyota) and sells spares. While he may make his living from servicing customers’ vehicles, his unbridled passion is for getting a vehicle in shape for off-road driving. Raid or rally raid, rock crawling or extreme racing, he is the man for the job and has even built his own prototypes.
And if he’s not in his garage, Stéphane will be off-road: either taking part in extreme events, driving a support vehicle providing safety for a raid or organising a desert trip.
Indoor rock crawling: a European first!
Swiss Car Event 2012 will have a Rock Crawling Zone in Hall 4. This will be the first indoor installation for this event in Europe. Stéphane will be presenting his skills here (hourly demonstrations) and inviting the public to take part in “off-road taster sessions”. Not for the faint-hearted!
His ZZ Kustom team is also looking forward to showing visitors a different type of vehicle exhibition. A Protruck that took part in the Moroccan Rally and a prototype with no bodywork, built on a Jeep base, will be among the exhibits.
For once, it won’t be the speed that leaves you breathless but the impressive spectacle of a monster on four wheels that recognises neither limits nor obstacles in its way.
Stéphane Zosso’s rock crawling display will be in Hall 4 of Palexpo in Geneva on the weekend of 2 to 3 June.
Don’t miss it!
